Remarks:

In 2025, Pentax brought out a slightly modified version of its successful Papilio models 6.5×21 and 8.5×21, named Papilio III WR. The “WR” stands for “weather resistant”, so the new version is now fully splashproof; beside that, new AR coatings, new armours and a minimally modified diopter adjustment mechanism are the changes from the previous Papilio II version, all other optical specifications stay the same (see therefore the separate post for the Papilio II, https://binocular.ch/pentax-papilio-ii-6-5×21/)
