Remarks:

When Dr. Neil English, author of a book about the history of visual astronomy, published a very positive review under the ominous title “The Remarkable Svbony 10×42 ED” (https://neilenglish.net/product-review-svbony-sv202-10-x-42-ed-binocular/#comment-1007012), we were intrigued. After all, the binocular in question is a low price China-made private label binocular which you would not expect to get any special attention. But when BINOCULARS TODAY ordered a sample and inspected it, we had to admit that at a price of roughly 150$ equivalent, the Svbony 202 10×42 ED is indeed a remarkable instrument. We do not know any other 10×42 roof prism binocular in this low price market category that matches the performance to the Svbony. Reception in the market has overall been positive so far; however, some complaints in internet forums and the encounter of a faulty sample by BINOCULARS TODAY (blocked diopter adjustment ring) seem to indicate that quality control, still a weak point also for many other binoculars made in China, is an issue to improve for Svbony. Since our review, Svbony has launched updated versions of their 202 line of binoculars.
