Remarks:
There are a number of 16×80 binoculars on the market, such as the Orion GiantView, APM MS (non-ED and ED versions) or this Helios LightQuest model. Some of them appear to be essentially identical instruments, e.g. the one from APM and the Helios, with just minute external differences but otherwise similar specifications. Produced in China, probably by Kunming United Optics, this non-ED 16×80 has good optics and is mechanically well built. Sharpness is good in the center of the image, just satisfactory at the periphery. ED versions of this instrument, such as the one sold by APM, are more expensive, but exhibit clearly less chromatic aberration and a slightly brighter image.
