Remarks:

There was a time when Bushnell sold fine, high quality binoculars made in Japan, such as this Rangemaster from 1955. With its 10 degree (=175m) field of view, relatively well corrected optics and solid mechanics, these vintage instruments are today sought after by binocular enthusiasts. Today, sixty years later, Bushnell stills sells binoculars in the low to medium price range (such as the 6×30 or 8×42 models in this collection), with production outsourced to China.
