Remarks:

This military version of the Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrentis, with individual focus and reticle, belonged apparently to the East German Ministry of the Interior, as the mark “MdI” indicates. It was produced in 1973, but apparently never used and put in storage forever and is therefore, despite its 50 years, in mint condition. It’s image characteristics are very similar to those of it’s central focus “cousin”, the Jenoptem 8×30 (see separate post, https://binocular.ch/carl-zeiss-jena-jenoptem-8×30/).
