GMC Trading Ltd. is a private Swiss company active in the import trade and represents brands such as Kowa, Kenko, Nikon or Polaroid. GMC markets and sells its own middle class binoculars for the Swiss market under the private label “Admiral”;  some of these binoculars are produced by third parties in Japan, some in China. The “Bernina” model represents the top of the roughly three dozen different Admiral binoculars and is / was sold in sizes 8×32, 10×32, 8×42 and 10×42. The 8×42 presented here is of an open bridge design, compact and lightweight, with an average field of view, excellent central and acceptable off-axis sharpness.
