Remarks:

The Pentax DCF ED series of binoculars has recently been renamed “Z” series; the specifications have not changed. This is Pentax’ flagship line of binoculars, with models in sizes 8×43, 10×42 and 10×50. The 8×43 model competes with the likes of the same size Zeiss Conquest HD or Leica Trinovid HD and provides excellent upper middle class performance, both mechanically and optically. The only thing one could criticize is the size of the field of view, which with its 6.3 degrees = 110m/1000m lags behind the competition quite a bit. In all other respects, the Pentax is a real pleasure to use.
