Remarks:

Among its roughly a dozen lines of binoculars, Kite Optics had for years had a compact and lightweight “Lynx HD” in two configurations on the market, 8×30 (see separate post https://binocular.ch/kite-lynx-8×30-hd/ ) and 10×30. In the summer of 2019,  Kite added a new line of Lynx “HD+” binoculars, this time in 8×30, 10×30, 8×42, 10×42 and 10×50. The present 8×42 model proved to be a compact, very well built and finished instrument that feels solid, with pleasant haptics, well balanced, and with good ergonomics. Other strong points of the Lynx are a very wide field of view – wider than any other current 8×42 model (except for the Swarovski NL Pure, see separate post https://binocular.ch/swarovski-nl-pure-8×42/), good central sharpness, and good color rendition and image brightness.
