Remarks:
There was a time when 8×50 was quite a popular format for binoculars, see separate posts about
“Carl Zeiss Jena Nobilem Super 8×50”, https://binocular.ch/carl-zeiss-jena-nobilem-super-8×50/
“Carl Zeiss Jena Octarem 8×50”, https://binocular.ch/carl-zeiss-jena-octarem-8×50/

That time is long gone, people seeking an EP of 6mm seem to prefer either 10×56 or 7×42. Today, very few binoculars in format 8×50 are still produced. The Ultravid is one of these few, and probably the best, both optically and mechanically.
