Remarks:

The Nikon Action EX 16×50 shares it body with the Nikon Action EX 10×50 – one of the best values in lower middle class 10x50s -, and that’s also its handicap. For a good optical performance, it would definitely need a larger body, including more focal length. This could help the correction of aberrations, making the image sharper and with better contrast, and improve CA which now adds to the somewhat dull character of the image. Nevertheless, judging from remarks in internet forums, there are apparently users who like the 16×50 Action EX. BINOCULARS TODAY much prefers the 7×35 and 10×50 models of the Action EX line (see separate posts, https://binocular.ch/nikon-action-ex-7×35-cf/) and https://binocular.ch/nikon-action-ex-10×50/.
