Remarks:

Only a small number of the central focusing version of the Kern Swiss Army single hinge binocular was produced, and as far as is known, not even a handful is today in the hands of collectors worldwide. This model was actually never introduced in the Swiss army, which only purchased the individual focusing version from Kern. Optically, the individual and central focusing versions are identical. It is believed that Kern had plans to introduce the central focusing version in the consumer markets, but such plans never materialized and were dropped when Kern was merged with Wild-Leitz.
