Remarks:
In terms of price, the Kowa Generis XD 8.5×44 ranks somewhere in the upper middle class; in terms of performance, it competes with some of the high-end bincolars, despite a somewhat narrower field of view than some of its competitors. Excellent contrast, a wide sweet spot, a bright image with a neutral color tone, little chromatic aberration, good stray-light suppression all make it a fine instrument. It is slightly heavier than many similarly sized binos.
