Remarks:

A binocular in a pinstripe suit? The Pirol HDX looks quite noble, but it also impresses with decent optics and solid mechanics. DDoptics, a small German private company located in Chemnitz, in the former Eastern part of Germany,  sells night vision gear, spotting scopes, rifle scopes and binoculars, most of which are manufactured by a renowned Japanese optical company. Parts of the product line is basically identical with instruments sold by Kite Optics in Belgium. The Pirol used to be DDoptics’ premium binocular, later “dethroned” by the EDX, EDX HR and SHG binocular models (see separate posts, https://binocular.ch/ddoptics-edx-8×42/ https://binocular.ch/ddoptics-edx-hr-8×42/ and https://binocular.ch/ddoptics-shg-8×42/)
