Remarks:
When the “Pirschler” came onto the market, it quickly got good ratings. First, there are not many binoculars in this price category that feature Abbe-König prisms. Second, the Pirschler took over the dual-bridge design from smaller instruments, it remains the only 8×56 with that design. And third, decent optics and mechanics made this binocular popular with price-conscious hunters and birders. There seem to have been some isssues with its central focusing wheel made of plastic; in the later version (see separate post „Pirschler Gen. III“, https://binocular.ch/ddoptics-pirschler-8×56-gen-iii-mg/), it is made of metal.
