Remarks:
The Steiner Ranger Xtreme 8×56 is a good example of Steiner’s mid-range observation and hunting binoculars: solid, well armoured, with very decent optics and excellent mechanics. Unlike the other Steiner 8×56 binocular in this collection (see separate post “Steiner Nighthunter 8×56”, https://binocular.ch/steiner-nighthunter-8×56-2016/), the Ranger has a roof prism design, features central focusing, a narrower field of view than the Nighthunter and is optically slightly inferior.
